Blog: A Few Things By: John Heisz
I’ve gotten a few requests for a SketchUp model of the slicer I made and used in this video, so here it is:

It’s a basic, one page model, but this is not a complex thing. I designed it to be as simple as possible, but still be very functional.
Some adjustment to the slot for the knife may be needed, depending on the knife used.
You can download the model here.
As I have had several people ask me if my box joint jig can be used on the router table, I tried it out, with pretty good results. Test run on the left with some scrap plywood, and one for the show on the right:

Some very well fitting 3/8″ joints. I made a video of this, and that will be on my YouTube channel on Saturday morning. To do this, I had to cut a miter slot in my router table, and I have details coming on that as well.
Speaking of box joints, Bob Neff sent me these pictures:

This is the jig I designed for cutting the division plate for my advanced box joint jig. I knew that eventually someone would use it to cut box joints. Bob says it works great.
