Table Saw Plans

Finally there’s a truly economical alternative to the typically poorly constructed bench top table saw. And unlike those, this table saw is built to be the right height, the standard 36″ (914mm) from the floor. So there’s no messing around trying to build a bench or cart to put it on, or struggling with the undersized top those saws are known for.

Half of the accuracy of any table saw comes from the fence system, and this one includes my popular wooden fence design in this plans package.

Even though it is powered by a simple circular saw, this table saw delivers excellent performance and accuracy. The overall design is based on the well known and highly regarded cabinet saws found in production shops and features a large table surface and a completely enclosed base cabinet to contain the dust.

The middle section of the top is hinged to swing up to quickly make adjustments to the depth of cut and angle of cut. It will also allow you to quickly remove the saw, if you need it for hand-held work.

The plans consist of:

  • a materials list
  • a 1/2″ (13mm) sheet goods cut diagram
  • an overview drawing
  • 2 parts map drawings showing part names and locations
  • 8 detailed parts drawings showing all of the dimensions
  • 10 assembly drawings that go through the build process step by step
  • the complete plan set for the wooden table saw fence

Feel free to look through the detailed build article for this project to see if it’s right for you.

For your convenience, this plan is made with both imperial and metric dimensions, with the metric dimensions (millimeters) in brackets. Screw sizes and other hardware are in imperial units.
