Advanced Box Joint Jig
The Advanced Box Joint Jig is the ultimate tool for creating a wide variety of box joints. Its unique design makes for faster setup and much better user safety, when compared to all other box joint jigs. Along with that, it is very easy to use and compact enough to store easily.
The Advanced Box Joint Jig is a leap forward in box joint jig design, but also very easy to construct, using commonly available material.
The jig can be used on both the table saw and the router table, and will produce box joints from 1/8″ right up to 1″, in 1/8″ increments. It can handle stock up to 1-1/2″ thick, and can cut four pieces of 3/4″ stock in a single pass, saving you setup time and errors.
The jig can cut joints up to 7″ wide in one pass and 14″ in two passes, making it perfect for the vast majority of projects.
There are 30 printable drawings and a materials list, plus cut diagrams for the solid wood parts, 1/2″ (12mm) plywood and 3/4″ (18mm) plywood. There is also a full size template for the advance lever and adjustment cams.
There are 14 parts drawings showing every part in detail, and there are 13 assembly drawings covering each step of the assembly process.
For your convenience, this plan is made with both imperial and metric dimensions, with the metric dimensions (millimeters) in brackets. Screw sizes and other hardware are in imperial units.
