I’ve wanted to make an all steel clamp for a while, and the recent long reach clamp strength “competition” between myself and Matthias Wandel reinvigorated my interest.
The design for this clamp is based loosely on my wooden bar clamp that uses a threaded rod to lock the moving jaw and also add strength.
